A sports trainer to make life easier for children living with autism.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does this benefit my child with Autism
A: Read 7 ways the 0g Soccer Trainer makes life easier for children with autism (and parents too!)
Q: Is it safe to use my credit card on this site?
A: Absolutely. Our secure socket layer (SSL) encrypts your credit card data to protect it from being read while traveling over the internet.
Q: What is the return policy?
A: We back everything we sell with a 30-day 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy with your product, send it back for an exchange or refund (less S&H). It’s that easy.
We also offer a 1 year warranty on individual parts. If at any point you require a replacement part, we will ship it out at no cost to you (less S&H).
Q: What is the recommended age and skill level for the 0g Soccer Trainer?
A: Recommended for age 5+ and above, and for all skill levels. The 0g Soccer Trainer slows the speed of the ball allowing those of all levels to further develop their Gross Motor Skills and Hand (foot) Eye Coordination.
Q: How do I assemble the 0g Soccer Trainer?
Q. How do I remove the flex joint. I can't seem to break the seal.
A. Place your dominant hand around the flex joint. Right above the neck of the bottle. Push the flex joint all the way over to one side to break the seal. Then push it towards the other side to wiggle it off. Please see the following video.
Q: Is there a discount if I buy in bulk?
A. Yes! Contact Us for more information.
Q: How much does this weigh? Can I bring it to the field or therapy sessions?
A: The trainer itself is just shy of 9lbs. And is easily transported. With 3 gallons of water in the base, it weighs 33lbs. You also have the option of detaching the arm of the trainer to transport in 2 pieces. It can be detached and reattached with a twist of the wrist. No tools needed.
Q: Is the Ball in the Trainer a standard size? Can I use my own or is one supplied?
A: The Ball that is attached to the Gravity Arm is a lightweight size 4 ball. You can use your own Size 4 ball. Just make sure it is slightly under-inflated and dry.
Q: Is this Trainer durable enough to withstand vigorous use?
A: The trainer is made in Maine with locally sourced materials. It will easily stand up to the rigors of any organization. To maintain the quality of your trainer we recommend detaching the arm of the trainer from the base, when not in use. And store the trainer out of direct sunlight.
If by chance a part fails, we can easily ship out a replacement part. The trainer is built to be passed down from child to child.
Q: How do I use the 0g Trainer?
A: Adjust the speed of the ball by adding or removing some weights on the arm of the trainer. Add weights to slow the ball, and shorten the range of movement. Remove weights to increase the speed and range.
The ball has a heavier feel to it than a free moving soccer ball. The added weight is excellent for children on the autism spectrum.
In addition, for kids with unique learning characteristics, we also suggest bringing the trainer to an adapted physical education teacher or to an occupational therapist to maximize benefits for your child.
Finally, a partnership with an OT to create video footage incorporating the trainer into sessions is underway. Subscribe here to receive those videos in your mailbox. In addition, if you are an Adapted PE teacher or OT and interested in contributing to this, please contact us.
